Agency: York Region Children’s Aid Society
York Region Children’s Aid Society works to keep children safe and families together.
We keep children safe and families together by:
- Providing child protection services 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- Engaging and supporting families in problem solving
- Linking families to essential community services
- Providing prevention and awareness programs to keep children safe and families strong
We believe children belong at home with their families and will do everything we can to keep families together. We work with parents, caregivers and other community organizations to build safe, strong communities. Our goal is to make the lives of children, youth, and families better through their interaction with us.
It’s a community responsibility to keep children safe. We receive many calls each year from concerned citizens, teachers, police, other agencies and health care professionals about children and families who may need help. When a family needs support, we link them to a variety of community services. Together, with our partners, we work with children and families for a stronger, healthier community.
